the lanes at AMF Pro 300 on SE Powell...
Awww yeah...
What better way to spend a rainy day? We already did the movies thing with "Hunger Games" a few days before. Earlier this day we saw the rose-less Rose Gardens and had some donuts at Voodoo...

I loved the awesome retro sign. We also liked that it wasn't crowded. Plus, look at this ancient change machine resplendent in poo brown, not avocado green or mustard.

See? EMPTY!!! Yeah! I was secretly hoping that this place had the old school 'score your own' game system, but no, they had the newfangled tv's and automatic electrical scoring system. Yeah, like I would have scored my own game by hand (that would be Bert's responsibility; he likes doing that kind of stuff)!

Well, later on, a few other families came in, but for the most part, it was thankfully devoid of humanity.
You can't go bowling without wearing a stylish pair of (hopefully Febreze sprayed) bowling shoes. Actually Bert has his OWN pair at home but they look much better than these. Check out our balls, heh.

I don't remember what I bowled but I knew I didn't break three digits. Bert was pretty happy to get a few strikes in.

TC's turn to strike some pins...

I didn't include my sorry self in here. If you can't tell, we played with bumpers too, which kind of helped! We burned through two sets of games. The lady didn't even charge us full price for the second game which was surprisingly nice of her.
We didn't have to deal with these types of distractions:
It was very chill here while we bowled and laughed at ourselves. I hadn't bowled in years so my fingers and arm kind of hurt from gripping and hurling the ball down the lane.

Afterwards, we walked a few doors down to yet another donut shop just for "research" purposes!
