Tim Hortons and snacks from Metro Plus

Our nature walk to the Falls left us tired, hungry and thirsty! What better excuse than to visit one of the thousands of  "Timmy's" (Tim Hortons) that are all over Canada...

By now, it was in the 90's and a frozen drink sounded good about now...

That summer, Tim Horton's was promoting their Raspberry and Lemon frozen drinks, along with a Latte version. Here are all three.

Plus a chicken wrap for a quick snack before heading out to Montreal...

We said our goodbye's to NM and her daughter. C would be meeting up with NM later that year for a blogger conference, so it wasn't completely "goodbye" for them just yet.

Below, a grocery store we stopped at before the long trip...

It felt so nice to feel the A/C!

Now this was the snack aisle. I thought these names were rather curious. May West (as in old blonde bombshell/moviestar Mae West?)????  And Joe Louis?  Hmmmm...he was a black boxer. This is a chocolate snack cake. Racist much?   Reminds me of that choco-pie snack named "Ghana" (as seen in Zion).

Seeing the Joe Louis on the box reminded me of this skit from "Coming to America" where Joe Louis's name gets tossed around by the barber (played by Eddie Murphy) and the old Jewish guy (also played by Eddie Murphy):

Ha ha!

Some chips that we bought. Pizza Pringles can be found in the States. I found some at Wal-Mart just last month. Crispers, however, are only in Canada.

We got some fresh fruit for the kids...

I really like these Crispers - they remind me of Wheatables. They are dehydrated potato crackers and are very tasty!

Maynards is a Canadian brand of candy. I just HAD to get a few bags of this because of the name, Juicy Squirts! They have a regular version (fruit flavored) and a sour version. This was the sour.

Both TC and LO loved this candy! It was sour and had a squishy and juicy filling.

When C tweeted a photo of TC holding the candy, someone was quite attracted to TC's multicolored fingernails. They thought it was C's nails, but it wasn't, haha.

We passed by this, uh, interestingly named store on our way to the hotel...

I'd like to buy some twits please.  At least it wasn't called "Twat Palace"!  A quick search on the web showed that this store was in Boucherville, Quebec and was an aquatic supply store.

Our next stop was Montreal where we would be staying in a hotel by the airport. C and her family would be staying with relatives. Later that evening, we would attend a party at C's aunt's place and then take a night tour of the Old Port in Montreal...
