Here we are, on the road again...en route to our hotel in Montreal.

Traffic may not look that bad in the photo, but later on that evening, it took C and her husband nearly an hour and a half (when it should have been half an hour) to pick us up....
Before leaving Ottawa a few days prior, C learned that her aunt could only accomodate her family (which was fine with us since we didn't want to impost). At that time, C's maternal side of the family were having get togethers due to a recent wedding by one of the nieces, as well as commemorating the 40 day death anniversary of C's grandmother and a birthday of one of the aunts. We were able to find a hotel, the appropriately and cleverly named Aloft, near the Montreal airport while C, FJ and LO stayed with her aunt.

Apparently there was going to be some sort of event later that evening. A live band was going to perform. Their lounge had a dj set up as well. This seemed like a very hip and swanky place.

One of their food and drink stations called the 24/7y snack pantry...

This spot, the "w xyz" was the bar...

Their lounge had many seating options as well as a pool table.

We ended up having a really cool room (sorry, no photos) with two Queens. It was very minimalistic with a cool blue, gray and white color scheme.

We were able to hang out for a few hours as we were quite tired from the long drive. I'm not sure if we slept or anything but at least we stretched out and freshened up.

Later that evening, we would be picked up for the birthday party at C's relatives.
