Gifted with a groupon from KD, we headed out to give this place a try...
Notice the banner? They spell it as "Crazee" but the signage in the first photo shows the spelling with the conventional "y". The double "ee" bothers me! It reminds me of that old Slade song, "Mama, Weer all Crazee Now" (which was also covered by Quiet Riot for their second album, back in 1984).
The guy working here was a one man show. A really really nice guy. Very friendly and always moving. Even though it was late morning, it was "Happy Hour" and so beers were only $3, so Bert was happy about that.
We claimed a table while Bert ordered our lunch...
I knew in the back of my mind that this place was featured in Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives". That's usually not a criteria for me to visit a restaurant since his tastes are so different than mine.

It's a bit "cozy" in here. It filled up during the hour that we were there. Very low key here. Folks on their lunch break. Again, all served by the very friendly guy you see at the very back of this photo.
Condiments were in a repurposed soda container.
Bert's Scotch Mad River Porter - only $3! A fine choice (having tried it before at Alchemy)! Needs some ice cream with it, ha ha.

This was either TC's or her friend KDD's. Both girls got the same thing, the Aloha Burger served with a pineapple slice, Swiss cheese and teriyaki sauce. You can't even see the meat here, ha ha.
Bert got one of their specials, the Salmon Burger served with some sort of spicy chili mayo sauce, which he liked. I didn't care for the salmon too much. Something about having ground up fish formed into a patty icks me out.
This was my Pastrami sandwich served with lettuce, pickles (which I picked out), tomatoes, mustard, and caramelized onions.
As you can see, we had fried crap galore - onion rings, fries, and sweet potato fries (leftovers were enjoyed by the girls later that day).

I really liked my pastami sandiwch which had a lot of caramelized onions. Even though it doesn't compare to the sandwiches we had at Schwartz's in Montreal (that post still to come, eventually), I had a craving for this type of meat.
We enjoyed everything that we had here and it was nice of my friend to let us use the groupon (we did pay the difference).

I know we weren't adventurous during this visit but I just wasn't feeling it for kangaroo, boar, ostrich or alligator, as fascinating as they may sound.
Our next stop would be at the outer edge of North Park before heading over to PB...
