One of the places we passed while heading back up Fern Street to while away a few minutes before checking if we won the big raffle...
But first, we stopped by a few of the shops to window shop. Since Valentine's Day is approaching, many of the windows were merchandised in reds, pinks, and with hearts. This is a fun store to browse around. Lots of unique items. I really liked how they displayed hand made earrings on vintage playing cards. Too bad they weren't styles I would wear though.

Another cute little shop that I like is this, the Make Good...

Isn't that cassette tape messenger bag adorable? Oh, and the anatomical heart shirt? I wish they had anatomical heart earrings or a nice bloody pendant! I would totally wear it!

Even the store next door has the anatomical heart thing going on...complete with a Catholic prayer candle stand. Actually, I really like this store. It's got a quirky masculine feel. I bought one of my favorite belts here last year, a heavy duty multi-grommeted men's belt. I keep asking the owner, Jeffrey when he's going to get more of those awesome studded rocker belts.

The view of the aforementioned shops across the street, while at Graffiti Beach. At the far right, you can see the blue awnings of Eclipse.

We hadn't been here before so we wanted to check it out. I kind of felt "old" since many of the fashions are more suited for the urban/teen/young adult.

Bert was admiring a 'circuit board' patterned t-shirt (they also had a tie with the same pattern), but thought $28 was a bit steep for a t-shirt. What I did like was their jewelry...

Based out of Denver, this company uses recycled skateboards for their earring designs. Super cool!

Another colleague used recycled drum cymbals for their jewelry line. Not pictured was another designer who utilized recycled bicycle inner tubes for their earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Pretty cool, but not something I could really wear to work!

What I did get however, was a pair of handmade earrings from the Make Good. I had to open the lever back earrings to get it to "hang" on this wine glass. I plan to replace the lever back hooks with a different pair of hooks since these hang too low on my ears. I used to make jewelry as a hobby and after seeing all of the cool and fun designs at Make Good and Junc, I might just take out my craft pliers and wires again and start creating...
These were cute: a rounded hexagonal hoop with a hand-wired semi-precious green stone and bird charm. These were a splurge at $26.

Haha, can you tell the photo was taken in our garage?
Below, the most awesome pairof earrings ever! I bought this pair at Junc. The owner told me the designer is based in Colorada; he only had two pairs of this design and both pairs were sold that same day! I was first attracted by the dual spiky chain drops, but the half moon findings in brushed silver gave it a more "feminine" but tough feel. They were also quite featherlight!

I can't wait to wear both pairs this week!

I will now pull a Marty McFly/Donnie Darko/Bill & Ted and go back in time to revisit Eclipse's grand opening in the next few posts...
By the way, the Super Bowl is going on right now. I haven't watched one minute but I do hope the West Coast team wins!
