D's craving for noodles and the lure of the neighboring ramen joint next to our dessert fix at Angels & Hearts won out...
It was literally steps away and in the same building so...
we laughingly agreed to have noodles AFTER we had our fluff ice and Japanese crepe. Was this BASS-Ackwards?

The service was really attentive and prompt. Our server was very patient as he explained their different types of ramen, especially their most popular ones.

Every table had a bottle of this pure alkaline water...

The ladies let me choose (again, claps hands in maniacal glee). I figured we would try the Original Ramen and one Original Tsukemen.

D really wanted to get the ramen entree as a combo, so we chose the chicken karaage which was nice and crisp with a sweet chili sauce. Everyone seemed to like it, but I opted not to have any because I wasn't feeling it for the chicken. I'll have another chance to try it later this week when I go again to meet up with Superman.

Our two noodle dishes plus the chicken karaage...

The Tsukemen noodles are served cold and on a separate plate, along with lemon wedges, sliced boiled eggs, and bamboo shoots (those were really good too).

This was interesting, having four of us share this. We ended up asking for separate smaller bowls. You take your chopsticks, get some noodles and dip into this ultra rich and concentrated broth...

which is chicken based. It was quite flavorful and we all enjoyed this new way of eating noodles. We opted not to get additional toppings since we were a bit overwhelmed by all the choices.

The broth also had pork in it!

Now for the Ramen which we ordered with Pork Underbelly, simply because we'd never had it before. The server described it as being like bacon so that was an automatic yes for all of us.

We all agreed that the broth was a bit too salty for our liking. Our server said in the future, we can always ask for less salty broth, which I didn't know we could do.

Pork = goodness.

Instead of dipping the tsukemen noodles into the broth, I just put the noodles in my small bowl and spooned the broth on top of it. Not traditional, but way easier for all of us.

Lastly, the take-out crepe I got next door for Bert and TC - filled with strawberries, bananas, and Nutella and no whipped cream. This was gone in 60 seconds when we got home. They found it okay but not OMG good.

It ended up being a pretty long day. We ended up getting home after 5 pm!

Who else went to Raki Raki? A slew of bloggers went there in quick succession in late October and in November. And for your reading pleasure, they have more detailed descriptions of the ramen, the water, etc...
Kirbie went twice - once during their soft opening in early October and later that same month as well as the gals from Convoy Conquest, followed by Kirk and Dennis as well as Jinxi.
