Here's one of the sitting lounges at our swanky hotel...

Although we got a tiny glimpse of Montreal's Old Port at night, we wanted to see it during the day before we headed back to Ottawa...
This building we passed had a lot of strange stuff going on, like the Michael Jackson mannequin holding a mannequin baby out the window!

As per usual, one of my favorite things to do is to look for graffiti and street art:

Food Lovers will recognize this iconic institution in Montreal...

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had! (can't wait to post on this!)

After our lunch, we planned to walk down to the Old Port again, but instead, ducked into this cute little chocolate/dessert shop. Anything to escape the horrendously oppressive heatwave!

This was a Passion Fruit Pot du Creme...
As Jay from Jay and Silent Bob would say, "Holy fkg shit, motherfkg Yoda 'n shit!" - Yes, that dessert was THAT good!
One of the beautiful buildings we admired in Montreal...

The streets were made even more quaint by horse drawn carriages. Those poor horses working in the heat! Be free I say!

Oh yeah, Canadiens called bathrooms, "washrooms". This is what I saw in one of the washrooms at a historic market...

Hmmm, fruit flavored latex?
It's amazing how old these cobblestones are!

Notre Dame basilica in the daytime...

Now here is the interior...

Very ornate in here!
Only a couple more days left of trip highlights until I begin my regular posts that feature my verbal diarrhea.

Too funny! Yes, you guys are the first family (other than my family) we've travelled with. We get along so well, our husbands get along fabulously and our daughters are like sisters. You're one of the only families I can travel with without wanting to kill someone. Totally not kidding. LOL!
hi c - wow, well we were floored when you guys said that. i thought for sure you had done this countless times with your extended family. i was hoping we wouldn't get on your nerves!!! it's amazing how much bert and FJ get along and think alike! i was so happy that TC and LO enjoyed each other's company as well! in all, glad we didn't end up strangling each other by the end of our epic trip!
